• Personal life
Badminton is a sport that is enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a great way to get active and have fun. It also offers many benefits for the body, including improved coordination and reflexes, increased muscular endurance, and improved cardiovascular health.
The physical benefits of badminton
Badminton requires the use of all muscle groups, not just the lower body. Although leg muscles are the most important, other muscle groups such as the abdominal muscles and upper body are also used.
For lunges or jumps, players need to have strong core muscles to be stable and support their back.
Badminton is an intense sport that will give you a great cardio workout. The game consists of a series of quick rallies where the shuttlecock is hit back and forth over the net. Rallies can last up to 90 seconds, and you need to be able to move quickly. During training, you need to work on your explosive strength and aerobic endurance.
Badminton: good for your mental well-being
Playing badminton can do more than just give you a good workout. Julien says that it can also help build your self-confidence. When you join a club and start seeing some results, it can give you a real motivational boost.
And since badminton is a sport where you can make fast progress with some practice and coaching, it’s easy to see why it’s such a great confidence-booster.
Badminton is a great way to stay in shape and improve your coordination. The shuttlecocks can travel very fast, so you have to be able to focus on the game and your opponent. It’s also a great way to challenge yourself and push your limits. For one player at Julien’s club, it was a life-changing opportunity.
A club that’s also a community
Joining a badminton club is easy and open to everyone. You don’t have to be a certain type of person to join or play.
In Julien’s club, they have all sorts of players that come and go. The club is always open to newcomers and the experienced players are always happy to help those who are just starting out. There’s a great sense of community in the club, which is one of the best parts about playing badminton.
According to Julien, the most important question to ask yourself before joining a club is: what’s your goal? Then, you need to choose the session best adapted to your aspirations and goals. Some things to consider are if you want to:
Play with people at a similar level to you
Have fun with friends during recreational sessions
Take part in coaching sessions
Join a team and be part of a friendly community during events and club evening
